Expert Audio commentary on Virtual Spectator

EXPERT PANEL WILL FILE AUDIO REPORTS FOR VIRTUAL SPECTATOR
With reputations that span the world of sailing, international
writers and commentators Bob Fisher; Gary Jobson and Peter
Montgomery will deliver exclusive weekly audio updates to the
Premium Service of Virtual Spectator. Their collective expertise
spans 17 Whitbread Round the World Races,
Reports from the expert panel will take the form of a weekly
telephone conference call, analyzing the highlights of the Volvo
Ocean Race.
British writer and broadcaster Bob Fisher has covered all seven
Whitbread Races and has only missed two stopovers in all that time.
He has written five books about the race. Fisher is yachting
correspondent for The Guardian, The Observer, Yachts and Yachting,
Yachting World and Grand Prix Sailor Internet newsletter.
American television analyst, writer and lecturer Gary Jobson has
covered three Whitbread Races. He navigated the 12-Meter Courageous
when it won the America’s Cup in 1977 and has competed in four
other America’s Cup seasons. He has covered another five America’s
Cups for ESPN-TV. Jobson is the author of 12 books about sailing.
New Zealand’s Peter Montgomery is a world-renowned sports
broadcaster for radio and television, known in his home country as
the “Voice of Sailing”. He has covered all seven Whitbreads, eight
America’s Cup challenges and six Olympic Games.
