Boison-Moller maintain lead in FD World Champs

by Gerald New on 18 Jul 2007
Day two of the Flying Dutchman Worlds at Mar Menor in Spain. Jorgen and Jaicob Boison-Moller of Denmark have led from the first race and they have a five point lead after race four. They are the only team to stay in single figures in all the races.

A new face in second place, Hans-Peter Schwarz and Roland Kirst of Germany move up and defending champions Szabolcs Majthenyi and Andras Domokos of Hungary drop to third place overall.

Despite not winning a race since the opening one, Jorgen and Jaicob have been the most consistant in what is proving to be a high scoring event. Winners of race two were Tin and Robin Matulja of Croatia, but they have struggled since then with a 50, 24, on day two.

In light winds, winner of the first race on day two were Dirk Bogmul and Michael Lisken of Germany, but that is their only trip into single figures so far, they are ninth overall. And in race four Carlos Beltri and Javier Cayuela of Spain added to their third in the opening race, to take a win, but they are tenth overall.
