The BC Marine Trades Association (BCMTA) has finalized an exceptional and diverse lineup of speakers and topics for the upcoming BC Marine Industry Conference. Details on schedule, speakers and each presentation are available at www.bcmta.com. A variety of engaging sessions have been designed to support the conference theme - Business and Personal Growth – and are ideal for business owners, employees and anyone else involved in the recreational marine industry who is looking to achieve business growth, increased sales or personal success.

GE Capital is co-sponsoring the keynote address by renowned business coach and CEO mentor, Cameron Herold, who will share tips on growing a business from ‘Zero to Good.’ Laurie Skreslet, the first Canadian to summit Mount Everest will share parallels he recognizes between mountain climbing and the challenges people face in the business world. GE Capital, the leading provider of financial services to the Canadian marine industry will provide its industry perspective and economic overview. Multicultural marketing specialist, Milind Shirke, will use case studies to help attendees better understand and transact with the South Asian community. Robin Johnston, consumer and trade show educator, will focus on maximizing sales success on the show floor and in the general business arena. Three local business owners will share their success stories and take questions from the audience and a facility tour of the new Mustang Survival facility has been organized. And there’s much more!

'The BC Marine Industry Conference is the one time of year that all members of the recreational marine industry gather,' says Kim Barbero, Executive Director of BCMTA. 'In addition to providing attendees with valuable networking opportunities, this year’s conference features speakers who will present many new ideas and tips on how to move closer to personal and business goals.'

In addition to speakers, the Conference has attracted a lineup of sponsors, including the BCYBA (Premier Sponsor); Canadian Boats Shows Inc. and Mercury (Gold Sponsors); BC Place, GE, Pacific Yachting and Yamaha (Silver sponsors) and Canadian Yachting, Pixelmade, Navis; PMG and Volvo Penta (Bronze Sponsors). Prizes are also being donated for the event.
