America's Cup- Race schedule beyond Tuesday

by Sail-World.com on 17 Sep 2013
America’s Cup Day 6 San Francisco. Oracle Team USA passes Emirates Team NZ yet to round Mark 3 Richard Gladwell www.photosport.co.nz

Tomorrow, Tuesday, is the first day in which one team may win the America's Cup. In case the trophy is awarded tomorrow the post racing program will change with a public prizegiving ceremony followed by press conferences with both teams.

The official weather forecast, at this stage is not promising with the wind starting out in the 15-20 knot range and building to the 20-25 knots with possible higher gusts to 28 knots. Current is a strong ebb, which lowers the wind limit by over 2.5 knots for each race.

Beyond Tuesday, if Wednesday is needed it will be a race day. Thursday is also a race day too, and Friday is a reserve day that can only be used if some races are postponed but never to go ahead of schedule.
