A Celebration of the lives of Andrew Short and Sally Gordon

The families of Andrew Short and Sally Gordon wish to advise those who would like to help celebrate the lives of Andrew (Shorty) and Sally (Sal) are invited to do so at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA), 1 New Beach Road, Darling Point, on Tuesday October 20 from 2.00pm onwards.

The entire Club will be opened to family and friends attending the Celebration.

It is the wish of Sally’s family that she is laid to rest privately, with only her family in attendance, on Friday October 16.

Andrew Short’s family will lay Andrew to rest at St. Mary’s Cathedral, St Mary’s Road (adjacent to Hyde Park), Sydney, on Tuesday October 20, at 10.30am. His friends are welcome to come and pay their respects.

As a mark of respect, the CYCA burgee will be flown at half-mast on Friday October 16 and on Tuesday October 20.

Sally and Andrew’s family have requested that in lieu of floral tributes they would be most grateful if such gestures be directed as donations to the CYCA SOLAS Trusts or CYCA Youth Sailing Academy.
