Conditions continued to be very trying for competitors at the 505 European Championships with large place changes throughout the fleet. However, overall leaders of the regatta since day 2, Jorgen and Jacob Bojsen-Moller (DEN), used their 104 years of combined wisdom to stamp their authority over the fleet on day 4.

The leading pair finished 3rd and 1st on the day to open up a 4 point lead over current World champions Jan Saugman and Morten Ramsbeck who placed 2nd and 5th. The young German team of Boris Herrmann and Julien Kleiner moved up to 3rd helped by the second discard kicking in and a 1st and 6th positions.

Triple World champions Wolfgang Hunger & Holger Jess returned 5th and 7th which dropped them to 4th overall.

One of the best performances of the day was Meike Schomaker and Rainer Gorge (GER) with 4th and 2nd which moved them into 5th place overall
