The NZ 18ft Skiff Nationals are to be raced on Auckland Harbour this weekend, 12th - 13th December.

An exciting fleet will be assembled on the water with 8 boats expected to race for the National Title. After a strong start to the season, all boats are sailing fast and in with a chance to win!

There will be no love lost between the crews fighting for both the title and bragging rights at the bar.

Top contenders for the title include Team Yamaha (Scott Kennedy, Andy Fenwick, Nick Catley) after a good win in the Auckland Champs, CT Sail Battens (Alex Vallings, Chris Kitchen, Josh McCormack) and Maersk Line (Graham Catley, Hayden Whitburn, Riley Dean).

This regatta is important for New Zealand boats to build up for the World Championships in Sydney next February where the crews take the Aussies on in their home waters.

Come and check out the action on Auckland Harbour! Great viewing from Orakei Wharf, Bastion Point, North Head or out on the Harbour itself.

Racing starts at 11am both Saturday and Sunday, with 3 races sailed each day.
