South Boats fitted with Arctic Steel Marine OEM Supply
South Boats, Britain’s flagship work boat builder, has chosen to fit Australia’s Arctic Steel water strainers to provide clean cooling water to the high performance engines powering their work boats.
The high spec vessels, built to DNV certification, demand the absolute best from the equipment fitted. The ruggedly built Arctic Steel cast 316 strainers easily met these criteria, providing high flow rates with outstanding straining capabilities.
South Boats build a range of aluminium catamaran work boats used to transfer crew and cargo to the growing number of offshore wind farms around the European coast.
Various systems, including generators, fire pumps and water makers fitted to these boats also require clean sea water, clear of potentially damaging debris that can cause blockages. The quality of build and reliability of service offered with the Arctic Steel strainers made this choice an easy one.
The unique lid design of these strainers allows for safe, quick and easy access for maintenance and the electro polished cast 316L stainless steel provides superior resistance against corrosion. The range of Arctic Steel water strainers extends from 1' through to 6'.
