ICSA Vanguard 15 Atlantic Coast Championship

This past weekend the Vanguard 15 class crowned the Atlantic Coast Champions - Colin Merrick and Andrew 'Sharky' Schneider. Merrick and Sharky placed outside the top three only once.
Clinton Hayes and Kim Dempsey also sailed an impressive regatta, averaging less than third place in each race. This Northern Alliance combo finished second.
Rounding out the top 5 were Austen Anderson and Alex Hering, Lucas Adams and Amelia Quinn and Nick Johnstone and Mary Kate.
The sailors enjoyed 10-15 knots all weekend, and plenty of sun. 13 races were sailed in total. The fleet of 27 boats sailed eight triangles on Saturday and five modified windward-leewards (x2) on Sunday. Racing was very close, with many hectic mark roundings and exciting starts.
