Heaven can wait – another 12 hours!!!

Heaven Can Wait One Lap. 12 hour and 24 Hour races - The Notices of Race (NORs) for the 2012 Heaven Can Wait Charity Yacht Regatta on Lake Macquarie, on September 29-30, 2012 -- the New South Wales Labour Day Long Weekend.

This year's Regatta includes a new event, the 12 Hour Challenge. It will have the same course and start time (1100 hours) as the 24 Hour race, but will finish at 2300 hours on Saturday September 29.



Early entries are very much encouraged, as the first starters in the Virtual Race get a good break on the mob.



In more Lake Macquarie news.. Wangi Sailing Club will be holding a special evening this Saturday night 14 July to wish the Australian 2012 Olympic 49er team of Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen, along with their coach Emmet Lazich, all the best with their upcoming London Olympic campaign. All are welcome to attend at Wangi RSL Club starting at 7:30 pm. Sail-World will be there to record some more of the tales from their young days at Wangi.

The Queensland Season of Sailing is ramping up. Mooloolaba sailor Jessica Watson said this week. ‘I haven’t been out on the water in a while and it has been driving me nuts but now my dancing commitment is over, I am looking forward to Airlie Beach Race Week. It has been one of those iconic Queensland regattas that I have always wanted to participate in and I am really looking forward to some T shirt weather . '

Jessica is not alone, there are lots of entries flowing in for the key Queensland regattas now coming up fast!!
