Hood Sailmaker joins International Big Boat scene

by Tim Messenger on 4 Jun 2003 Young Sydney sailmaker Ben DeCoter who has worked at Hood Sails in Sydney for five years is off to Sweden to race on the 77 footer 'Royal Blue'

At the end of the European summer he will be returning to Sydney to work on the Grand Mistral 80 footer 'The Cabinet' (ex Nicorette), which will be doing the Australian Yachting Circuit including the Sydney - Hobart and other major yacht races.

Ben has spent the last season sailing on the top performing Sydney 38 Cuckoo's Nest.

Hood Sailmakers Sydney are continuing to grow and they are looking to recruit experienced sailmakers or apprentices to join their well respected team. An interest in sailing is preferred but not essential.

The Hood Sail loft is situated at 19 West St Brookvale close to Sydney's
Northern Beaches and Pittwater.
