Belle Isle Series - The joint Lark, Firefly, and National 12 open meeting is being hosted by Royal Harwich Yacht Club this weekend, 23rd and 24th June 2012.

Now in its ninth year this annual event is a firm favorite in the fixture list. With 50+ boats competing annually, the River Orwell offers up great racing, and fantastic socials.

Often a highlight of the weekend, Graham Ireland’s briefing – outlining his typically innovative courses – will be held at 12:30pm. First of three races on Saturday will be at 13:00, with two races planned for Sunday, starting at 13:30 all for a £22 entry fee.

For the Saturday night, the club will be laying on an evening supper and social, a late bar, and free camping to rest weary heads. The later start on Sunday offers competitors time to enjoy the ‘Big Breakfast’ – and perhaps a glimpse of the real action for the weekend – the Kids Crabbing Competition.

In all a fabulous weekends action is planned, and will be pleasantly wound up with a prize giving at 16:30 on Sunday.
