Sea Wasp secures Australian Defence Force contract

Sea Wasp Marine Power Solutions has secured the contract to supply the Australian Defence Force with fifteen 9KVA 7.2kw, single-phase marine generators.

Fitted to their LCM8 landing craft vessels based in Townsville and Darwin, these units have been custom designed to meet specific regulations and offer reliability in extreme conditions and environments.

Sea Wasp has been servicing the Australian Defence Force for 25 years and has been an established supplier of Australian manufactured marine power solutions to the Australian and International Marine Industry for 34 years.

Through consistent customer feedback & market analysis, Sea Wasp are proud to have designed and developed arguably the most reliable, quiet and durable marine generators available. Specialising in all types of marine generators from 5KVA to 500KVA units.



Located on the Brisbane River within the Rivergate Marina precinct at Murarrie, Sea Wasp is conveniently situated within a dedicated, enclosed maintenance facility with access to lift vessels up to 300 tonne.

Sea Wasp’s turn-key factory trained staff provide all onboard servicing and installation of units to custom vessels, water police craft, commercial fishing and luxury power boats.

The service doesn’t stop here, as Sea Wasp has extensive Service and Spare Parts Divisions including several modern mobile vehicles used to attend off-site service calls. Staff, also regularly travel overseas where they carry out a large amount of work in the South Pacific.
