Laser Europa Cup - Dutch Act overall

Day one - Dutch Europa Cup 2012 WSV Hoorn
Laser Europa Cup 2012 Dutch Act was held from 1st to 3rd June on the Ijssel-Meer. On day one of racing first in the small Laser Standard fleet was Maxime Mazard FRA, followed by Jules Ferrer FRA. In the Laser Radial, Kaarle Tapper FIN took the lead, while the best woman Pernelle Michon FRA followed on rank four. In the Laser 4.7 Benjamin Wempe NED was first in all three races.

On the second day again three races for each of the three classes was held. In the Laser 4.7, it was the Dutch Laser development sailors' team who dominated the scene with Benjamin Wempe NED on top ahead of Sanne Akkerman NED, best of the day with the rankings 1/2/3, who was also the best girl. In the largest fleet, the Laser Radial with 51 participants, Kaarle Tapper FIN had a comfortable 19 points' lead in front of Yuri Hummel NED and Maxim Nikolaev RUS with the same number of points on positions two and three. The best woman was Mathilde de Kerangeat FRA on the seventh rank. Only six Laser Standard sailed with Jules Ferrer FRA and Maxime Mazard FRA one point behind dueling for victory.

On the third and final day two races were sailed in each class to conclude the 2012 Europa Cup event without any changes on top of the rankings. Benjamin Wempe NED winning five of the eight races in the Lasers 4.7 was outstanding and took the U16-victory as well. Philipp Plevier NED and as the best girl Sanne Akkerman NED follow on in ranks two and three. 31 participants. In the Lasers Radial, the superior leader Karle Tapper FIN stayed ashore during the last race. Joining him on the podium are Yuri Hummel NED second and Maxim Nikolaev RUS third. 51 participants. Mathilde de Kerangeat FRA on rank eight is the best woman. First among the few Laser Standards (six) was Jules Ferrer FRA ahead of Maxime Mazard International Laser Class Association website
