BarzOptics sails in to US market via Annapolis

BarzOptics are exhibiting at the Pacific Sail Expo next weekend in Oakland/San Francisco, 12-15 April.

Pacific Sail Expo is largest sailing show on the West Coast of the USA. Sail America the shows organizers conduct several shows on the east coast and in Texas.

This is the 10th time BarzOptics has exhibited at the show, and he reports organisers are anticipating a bumper show.

'It's the biggest sailing expo on the west coast, about the third biggest sailing show in the US. We exhibit with Marine Barbecues and have done so for many years. It works well. We share the expenses of rental cars, accommodation and we both know each other's products.'

Barz Optics will be giving away a sunglass package every day of the show valued at $300. Entry to the show will include an entry voucher that will be drawn at 4pm every day of the show.

The prize would be for two pairs of sunglasses for a couple or glasses for a whole family.

Barz Optics will be releasing their new Kids range of polarised sailing glasses at the show, including the Grom, Neemo and the Junior Nauru styles.

Barz Optics sales in the US have grown over 300% in the last year due to their advertising program in US sailing media and exposure at Pacific Sail, Miami Sail, Newport International and Annapolis Sail Shows.

'It's the hardest market in the world to crack. We have investedheavily in advertising and branding and followed that up with the show circuit to raise our brand awareness.'

At the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in Queensland, Australia May 24-27, BarzOptics will be running a similar promotion, with $400 in polarised sunglasses to give away to one lucky winner every day of the show. On entry, each person will receive an entry form to be completed and lodged in the entry barrel on the BarzOptics stands. At 2pm each day, the daily winner will be drawn from the barrel. Show organisers will phone the winner and if they are at the show, they can drop by the BarzOptics stand and collect their prizes.
