Organisers of the Hainan Rendez-Vous today announced the names of the major sponsors for their upcoming 2012 edition in Sanya. The sponsors are: Chopard; Pernod Ricard; Mandarin Oriental, Sanya; UBS; and BMW.

Swiss jewellery and watch manufacturer Chopard; wines and spirits maker Pernod Ricard; award-winning resort Mandarin Oriental, Sanya; banking and wealth management service provider UBS; and automobile marque, BMW. The event takes place this coming April 5th to 8th in the seaside resort city of Sanya, Hainan Island.

Comprising a yacht show, business jet exhibition and lifestyle showcase, the annual Hainan Rendez-Vous has brought thousands of China's top earners to Sanya's picturesque shores the last two years. These wealthy elites are attracted not only by the event's commercial offerings, but also by the show's rich program of cultural, educational and social events. Organisers present Hainan Rendez-Vous in China as a key networking event for the nation's leaders and their counterparts in the international community.

Anticipation for this year's show is high after last year's edition attracted more boats than any other yacht show in Asia. The 2012 edition will have significantly more yachts still, including the largest gathering of megayachts the country has ever seen. Organisers have made several adjustments to the show that will enable sponsors to better interact with their target VIP clients this year, including construction of a new VVIP lounge and new invitation-only events.

Chopard, Mandarin Oriental, Sanya and BMW have all sponsored previous editions of Hainan Rendez-Vous. Pernod Ricard brands Martell and Perrier-Jouët have also sponsored previous editions.

Chopard jewellery and watches have a well-known reputation for adorning celebrities at the Cannes Film Festival, Oscars and other high-profile events. The Swiss brand, founded in 1860, will have a larger presence at Hainan Rendez-Vous this year, with its High Jewellery Collection housed in an exclusive store, and other classic Chopard lines on display in a separate 120-sqm booth. Chopard will also host a gala dinner again for Hainan Rendez-Vous' most elite guests.

Pernod Ricard is providing a number extraordinary activities to its Elite Club members at Hainan Rendez-Vous. The Elite Club is new member-based luxury service that offers a range of Pernod Ricard's ultra prestige wines and spirits, including Martell, Royal Salute, Perrier-Jouët, Ballantine’s, Chivas, The Glenlivet, Yao Ming wine.

Elite Club members at Hainan Rendez-Vous will enjoy exciting parties, fabulous entertainment and luxury goods shopping experiences, as well as access to the Elite Club Pavilion, Elite Private Cigar Lounge, a free pass to voyage out to sea on the Elite Club yacht, and invitation to the brand's one-of-a-kind tasting dinners.

Luxury resort Mandarin Oriental, Sanya has been closely involved with Hainan Rendez-Vous for the last three years. Enjoying the tranquility of a secluded private bay and nestled amongst verdant tropical flora, the resort is a hidden gem where nature is celebrated and privacy is assured.

UBS draws on its 150-year heritage to serve private, institutional and corporate clients worldwide, as well as retail clients in Switzerland. Its business strategy is centered on its pre-eminent global wealth management businesses and its universal bank in Switzerland. Together with a Investment Bank and a Global Asset Management business. UBS is present in all major financial centers worldwide with offices in over 50 countries and employs about 65,000 people around the world.

BMW is again serving as the event’s official automobile sponsor this year. The legendary premium Germany brand is providing its ultimate JOY cars to whisk VIP visitors between the Hainan Rendez-Vous business jet exhibition and main fairground.

Hainan Rendez-Vous organisers would also like to acknowledge the renewed participation of Lacoste, which is hosting its annual champagne-fueled Sanya Pool Party on Friday 6 April from 10pm at the Visun Royal Yacht Hotel. The year’s theme: 'Unconventional Chic'.

'Our major sponsors this year embody the type of quality, integrity and accomplishment that we strive to achieve for our show,' said Delphine Lignieres, founder and CEO of organiser China Rendez-Vous Ltd. 'I am extremely grateful for their support, and my team and I will spare no effort to ensure maximal success for them at Hainan Rendez-Vous 2012.'
