Nautor’s Swan is heralding the coming of Spring this year with the ninth annual edition of the popular cruising calendar event, ‘the ClubSwan Caribbean Rendezvous’. Over 50 participants from the Swan cruising fraternity will be congregating in the British Virgin Islands from March 12 – 17.

Nearly 20 Swans are heading to the Caribbean to enjoy a week long structured cruise between some of the world’s most idyllic islands. The Bitter End Yacht Club will be their first port of call for registration and receipt of gifts from sponsors like Gaastra and Salvatore Ferragamo before embarking on a number of passages. Crews will be offered ample opportunities to drop anchor in nature’s paradise and relax in sheltered luxury moorings.

Nautor’s Swan has a strong cruising angle now established with the annual programme. The Rendezvous concept of cruising in the comfort of the Swan family as well as the option of enjoying some traditional friendly competition is the perfect balance for a growing segment of Swan yacht owners.

Many of the crews are a mix of friends and family as well as some groups new to the Spirit of Swan opting to charter.
The Rendezvous programme will take in four of the famous British Virgin Islands. Crews will be able to focus on the sailing and leave all logistics to Swan management providing pre-arranged cruise configurations and all social functions. This includes; live music, cocktail receptions courtesy of Pantaenius and Dockwise Yacht Transport, beach games and a Hors d’Oeuvres contest.

Day one starts at the Bitter End Yacht Club with registration followed by a Laser Regatta for the participants. Welcome Cocktails and a splendid buffet dinner around the swimming pool by moonlight will set the ambiance for the week allowing new friendships to be forged and old acquaintances renewed.

Tuesday morning will see the fleet decamp with a fun race to Cooper Island for an evening of speciality cocktails and a light buffet. Wednesday’s activity will take the form of a pursuit race to Sandy Cay off Jost van Dyke. On Thursday the Swans move on to Marina Cay with a shorter fun race where the infamous Hors d’Oeuvres contest will take place while Pussers cocktails are enjoyed by sunset on the beach with musician Eric Stone playing.

The fleet return to the Bitter End Yacht Club on Friday where the Hobie Regatta will be staged in North Sound and the ClubSwan Open Day will take place on the docks at the BEYC where cocktails will be served during the afternoon.

Saturday sees the competitive race of the week, round Virgin Gorda for the Dockwise Yacht Transport Trophy before the final Cocktail Reception and Dinner at Almond Walk where the weeks prizes will be presented by the Nautor’s Swan team and the week concluded with dancing under the stars.
