Some of the world’s yachting heavyweights will be on show in Mumbai. SW
The sixth Annual Mumbai International Boat Show (MIBS), to be held between February 23th and 26th at the MMRDA grounds at the Bandra-Kurla Complex, promises to be the most spectacular marine exhibition Mumbai has seen.

Following five progressively successful shows, this year’s MIBS brings the latest in leisure boating from around the world including boats that have never been seen on our shores.

On a 10,000msq land exhibit, MIBS 2012 will showcase a variety of day boats, speed boats, security boats, personal watercrafts (PWCs), kayaks, boating accessories, marine engines, marine toys and some of the finest, most luxurious yachts, large boats and sail boats.

Over the year, the show has enjoyed a steady patronage of 15,000 visitors including several HNIs, marine industry professionals and boating enthusiasts from around the world. This year, MIBS extends a complimentary invitation to all members of the Bombay Gymkhana, and the Royal Bombay Yacht Club (RBYC).

Members will need to carry their membership cards to facilitate their free entry, and each member can bring three guests. The event will also be keenly viewed on Headlines Today, television partner for MIBS 2012.

MIBS 2012 is recognised and sanctioned by the Government of Maharashtra, Indian Coast Guard, Yachting Association of India, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, and the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation.

The show has also received the support from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). In their efforts to promote the boating industry in India, CII and Mumbai Boat Show Pvt. Ltd. have invited speakers from India and around the world to chart a way forward for the industry at the CII International Boating Conference titled ‘Navigating Forward,’ to be held on the 24th February , Bandra-Kurla Complex.

There will also be an elaborate dinner on 25th February – an ideal platform for exhibitors, sponsors and marine industry professionals to forge connections and leverage strengths to dive into this rapidly growing market.
