Winning Appliances JJ Giltinan 2012 race 1 was won by the defending champions Gotta Love It 7.

The 18ftrs 'Dream Team'of Seve Jarvin, Scott Babbage and Sam Newton displayed composure and determination to hunt down the early leaders Mojo Wine and Rag & Famish Hotel who finished across the line in that order.
Appliances on Line, DeLonghi and CST Composites (USA) rounded out the top six.

The race was sailed over the south east course 3 with the 15 knot forecast wind strength fading and swinging around so that positioning the skiffs was key on the tricky runs and beats. The Gotta Love It 7 team excelled in that area.
