Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Riverside Opening Weekend is being held on 3rd and 4th March 2012. You may have heard about the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival but did you know you can berth your vessel either at Waterfront City Marina or Yarra’s Edge Marina for between $40 and $50 a night? We invite you to come along for this great event and spend the night in the city.

There will be a Free River Shuttle operating over the weekend that will open up the whole of the Yarra to you so you can enjoy all that is on offer.

If you choose to berth at Waterfront City Marina then you will be close to all the festivities at NewQuay Promenade. Here you will find numerous restaurants participating in the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, offering you sample plates from all over the world.

If you like motor vehicles then you will be excited to learn that Motor Mania will be running along the New Quay and Waterfront City Promenade, offering immaculate viewing and entertainment for all Hot Rods fans. As well as all that, you will find family fun and entertainment, and great shopping at Harbour Town Shopping Centre.

If Jazz is your thing then you should choose to berth at Marina YE over at Yarra’s Edge. Here we have laid on a Jazz Festival that will simply delight music lovers. We have assembled up to eight of the finest bands of young musicians from the very best of Melbourne High Schools. See these emerging musicians of the future as they battle it out for your show of appreciation over their rivals.

The restaurants at Yarra’s Edge will be participating in the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival offering a number of menus with sample dishes for you to enjoy, complemented with some wine tastings. This all adds up to a weekend of great music and fine dining.

Don’t forget that the Free River Shuttle will facilitate you getting out and seeing all the other destinations of your choice throughout the weekend.
