The Smeg crew of Nick Press, Daniel Phillips, and Dave Ewings read the storm impact of the final leg of the windward leeward race, course 6, on Sydney Harbour perfectly, in Sunday's last League race before the JJ Giltinan commences next Thursday, 17th February.

DeLonghi, yesterday helmed by John Sweeney, the stand in for injured Simon Nearn, had command of the lead throughout until an attack came from Smeg, 500 metres from the finish. A fast spinnaker drop by Dave Ewings sealed the win for Smeg. Marcus Ashley Jones brought Asko Appliances home to fill the podium.
