The winner of the gate prize at this year’s Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show will take home an Extreme/Yamaha boat package worth in excess of $70,000!
The ready-to-hit-the-water Extreme/Yamaha Gate Prize Package will include a multiple award-winning Extreme 570 Game King and trailer, a Yamaha 115hp four-stroke outboard, a Raymarine electronics package, a Fusion marine entertainment system, a Hutchwilco safety pack and much more.
The popular Extreme 570 Game King won the competitive Boat of the Show: Aluminium Fishing Boat Under 6 Metres award in both 2009 and 2010, while its sister model, the 570 Sportsfisher, which uses the same hull and deck, claimed the award in 2007 and 2008.
With an overall length of 5.75 metres, a beam of 2.22 metres and 20.5 degree deadrise, the Extreme 570 Game King is an ideal family fishing boat. Packed full of award-winning features, it comes complete with a livebait tank, a flooding keel (for extra stability while fishing), a hardtop for protection from the elements, a lined cabin and treadplate cockpit floor.
Built tough in marine grade aluminium, the Extreme 570 Game King has a 5mm thick hull and 4mm topsides and decks. With a standard towing weight (complete with outboard and trailer) of just 1200kgs, it can be safely launched, retrieved and transported using a standard family car.
A portofino transom, boarding ladder and well-positioned grab rails also make the Extreme 570 Game King the perfect family boat for those who like swimming, snorkeling and diving, skiing and towing watertoys.
The Extreme/Yamaha Gate Prize Package will be powered by a new model Yamaha F115A 4-stroke outboard. This sophisticated four cylinder 4-stroke features a double overhead camshaft and four valves on each cylinder.
Matched with an electric fuel injection system that delivers just the right fuel/air mixture for any load and speed, the Yamaha F115A is the perfect engine for the Extreme 570 Game King. Punching well above its weight, it delivers the type of power one would expect of a much bigger engine while offering outstanding fuel economy, Yamaha’s trademark reliability and a transom weight of just 190kgs.
Powered by the Yamaha 115hp 4-stroke, the Extreme 570 Game King will have a top speed of around 38 knots (70k/mh) and be able to cruise economically at around 28 knots (52 km/h).
The Extreme/Yamaha Gate Prize Package will also come loaded with practical extras, courtesy of renowned marine systems’ supplier, Lusty and Blundell Ltd.
These will include a clever new Raymarine E7 chartplotter/sounder that, thanks to integral WiFi and Bluetooth, will connect seamlessly (and without any cables) to an iPad or iPhone; a Raymarine Ray 49F VHF, a Shakespeare VHF and AM/FM antenna system; Ultraflex hydraulic steering; Muir anchoring system; a Jabsco high pressure washdown system and a Rule bilge pump; and a Blueseas battery management system.
And, as a final touch, the Extreme/Yamaha Gate Prize Package will also come complete with a latest model Fusion MS-IP600 True Marine iPod Dock and receiver along with a set of Fusion marine speakers.
All paying visitors to the 2012 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show, at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland on May 17-20, can be in to win this fantastic Extreme/Yamaha Gate Prize Package. Show visitors simply need to collect stamps from the clearly-marked stamping booths, answer a simple question, enter their contact details on the entry ticket and place their completed ticket into the official entry box.
The lucky winner will be notified immediately after the prize draw, shortly after the show closes on Sunday, May 20. They can then pick up their new boat from the Showgrounds the following morning, tow it to the nearest ramp and go boating!
