Thurlow Fisher Lawyers is defending Australian 18ft Skiff champion Frank Quealey /Australian 18 Footers League http://www.18footers.com.au

Thurlow Fisher Lawyers wins race 2 of the Australian 18ftr Championship....beating home Gotta Love It 7 with Smeg in third.

Micheal Coxon's team of Aaron Links and Trent Barnabus surged into the lead at the third turn mark in Double Bay and extended over the rest of the race course. In what was to become a difficult to pick and puffy affair on the first beat to Rose Bay the Cameron Mac Donald steered The Kitchen Maker surprised themselves and the spectators to lead the fleet on the run to Robinsons Point.

Another surprise was the guest appearance of Australia's Olympic 49er team, Nathan Outteridge and Ian Jensen, who crewed Gotta Luv it 7 with regular sheethand Scott Babbage, in the absence of Seve Jarvin and Sam Newton.

After two heats of this important series leading into the JJ Giltinan, Thurlow is on 2 points, Smeg on 5 points and Gotta Love It 7 on 10 points with race 3 to be sailed on Thursday 26th Australia Day.
