Day five of the 2011-12 Australian Optimist Championships concluded with dramatic changes in the leaders positions within the top 10.
Showing his talent in the breezier conditions, Victorian sailor Jack Graves pushed his way to the top of the leaders board by a narrow two points ahead of New Zealander Alastair Gifford. Graves has come out as the Overall Australian Champion after a tough start to the regatta.
Coming in for third position is Lola Stoodley from New Zealand, showing her speed and superior tactics in the tail end of the regatta.
Second Australian and and fourth overall was Alistair Young from Western Australia followed closely by New South Wales sailor Jim Colley, who finished fifth overall and third Australian.
