Ninety Seven is back

Stratcorp Ninety Seven (formerly Ninety Seven, the line honours winner of the 1993 Sydney Hobart race ) made a successful return to racing in yesterday's Range Series Race on Port Philip Bay.
One day after stepping her new carbon fibre mast and boom which was built by Pete Kula's Applied Composites, Stratcorp Ninety Seven lead the fleet all day to record a 2 minute line honours victory over Cadibarra, in a day that saw winds ranging from 15 - 25 knots.
Stratcorp Ninety Seven was placed 4th on IRC handicap, behind Kevin Wood's Ticket of Leave.
Stratcorp Ninety Seven's owner Chris Dare was delighted with the result, having gone into the race with only 2 hours tuning and preparation.
Stratcorp Ninety Seven will now be fine tuned in preparation for the Sydney - Southport Race and both the Hogs Breath and Hamilton Island regattas.
