Complimentary seminar for marine industry businesses

by AIMEX on 20 Dec 2011
Seminar - free for marine businesses SW
AIMEX is offering marine businesses around Australia the opportunity to fine tune their competitive skills, innovate and compete in a global market place, with complimentary seminars in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and the Gold Coast during February 2012.

Ensuring survival in 2012 and for the future means taking advantage of every opportunity. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to hear what other marine industry professionals are doing to drive their businesses and overcome today's challenges.

This will be an inspirational, interactive workshop followed by networking and drinks.

Register today to ensure you do not miss out! (see below)
The seminar will provide a platform to discuss the following issues:
• How to remain competitive in the current global climate when manufacturing businesses are faced with competitive manufacturing facilities overseas where manufacturing costs are significantly less
• How to evaluate capability and ability to cross over into other industry sectors to increase opportunities
• How to increase productivity and better utilise resources
• How to drive innovation – many emerging countries now have significant ability to deliver 'me too' products and therefore innovation is critical to success
• How to reinvigorate existing strategies and business models
• How to combat current issues of grey imports, fluctuating exchange rates, high manufacturing costs etcetc
• How to retain quality staff with the key skills required to drive the business
• How to better understand and utilise supply chains

Seminar Format
The seminars will conclude with networking drinks. The seminar will be a combination of group discussions, power point presentation and case studies. All participants will be provided with hand outs of the presentation which in the past have been seen as extremely valuable and have been used to provide knowledge for management to run in house sessions for senior managers and employees who could not attend.

AIMEX will be contracting Madison Cross consultant Tony Karabatsas once again to deliver these seminars. He is very experienced within the marine export and superyacht sector but also has good knowledge and experience across other industry sectors i.e. automotive. Tony has worked with a number of marine industry clients and has produced a number of specific reports for the industry.
