The exciting concluding day of racing at the 2011 Phuket King’s Cup Regatta saw the best winds of the week, and was capped off by a spectacular closing party held at Kata Beach Resort & Spa. PTT Group, PTT Global Chemical, PTT EP, and Thaioil hosted the prize giving ceremony in front of hundreds of sailors, partygoers and media from around the world. Proceedings were launched with a dazzling fireworks display over Kata Beach. Crowds enjoyed dancing to live music by Big Bamboo Band and the DJ Live Show, and The Pjay Standley Band laid down some vintage rhythm and blues in celebration of a superb Regatta. A poolside buffet of international and Asian cuisine, and free-flow drinks, provided the perfect way to wind down after what was considered to be one of the best regatta's yet.
