Insurance Leader AIA Thailand Sponsors Phuket King’s Cup Regatta

The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta Organising Committee welcome trusted insurance specialist, AIA Thailand, as a key sponsor of this year’s Regatta. Committee President, Kevin Whitcraft, accepted the signed contract from AIA’s CEO, Ron Van Oijen, at a handover ceremony prior to the commencement of 2011’s competition.

Ron Van Oijen, CEO of AIA Thailand, said, “AIA Thailand is proud to be named as co-sponsor for this year’s Phuket King’s Cup Regatta. The event has evolved over the last quarter of a century to become one of the most prestigious regattas in the entire Asia sailing calendar. AIA Thailand is to support the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta Organising Committee in delivering what is sure to be the largest and most spectacular Regatta so far, with over 170 vessels set to take sail under the auspices of His Majesty, The King of Thailand.”

With the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, the Regatta is organised by the Phuket King's Cup Regatta Organising Committee under the auspices of the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, in conjunction with the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, the Royal Thai Navy and the Province of Phuket.
