New Zealand match racing team, Waka Racing report in from the Monsoon Cup, Malaysia, an ISAF Level 1 regatta which is part of the World Match Racing Tour

Hello Supporters, Family and Friends.

Today dawned in Malaysia again with thunderstorms and heavy rain. Luckily for us this was short lived and for most of the day a relatively settled breeze came in of 8 – 15 knots. This was a pleasant change after yesterday’s conditions!

For us it was good day, going undefeated for most of the it, unfortunately only losing our last race. Leaving us with a score card of 5 wins and 3 losses.

All of our races today were high action affairs with some exciting passing maneuvers. All of our victories were a real team effort after we found ourselves behind after the start. Patience and a 'never say die' attitude was the key to our success.

We definitely have areas to improve on so hopefully tomorrow we can continue stepping forward and seal our place in the quarter finals tomorrow.

We would really like to Thank our sponsors and supporters, China Team,Tax Management NZ, Fedex Express, KZ Race Furlers, Line 7, RNZYS, Frontend Design, Devine Consultants and the Waka Racing Supporters Club.

We owe you guys everything and hope we have done you all proud. Thank you and see you all soon.
