Bahrain ready to host world sailboat championship

The Bahraini Nautical Sports Association has finalized the namelist of countries expected to participate in the World Sailboats Championship to be hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain's beaches during the period 15-19 November 2011. Teams are expected to participate from Bahrain, Egypt, Estonia, Kuwait, India, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Thailand, Tunisia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, etc.

The Bahraini Nautical Sports Association compiled a handbook to coincide with the Kingdom's Sailboat Championship. The book includes a foreword by Bahrain Nautical Sports Association's chairman Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.The book sheds light on the Kingdom of Bahrain's sports fleet of 11 sailboats.The book reveals the history of sail boating competitions in Bahrain launched in 2002 and which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2010. The book lists the achievements made by Bahrain and GCC teams during world championships as well as recent military sports championship held in Brazil.
The book includes the entire programme for the championship.
