Eco Terengganu Conference 2011 takes place on the 23rd and 24th of November at the Ri-Yaz Heritage Marina Resort and Spa, Kuala Terengganu. The environmental conference is jointly organised by EcoKnights and T-Best Events in conjunction with the Monsoon Cup 2011.

Eclimo Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s first and exclusive e-scooters and e-motorcycles manufacturer today signed on as the main sponsor of the inaugural Eco Terengganu Conference.

The two-day event aims to create awareness of environmental issues and demonstrate green business tools and technology to develop Terengganu into a sustainably managed state.

Eclimo will share their vision for a more environmentally conscious country by changing the way Malaysians travel. The homegrown electric vehicle company is the creator of the first Malaysian-made, lithium ion battery-powered electric motorcycle and scooter. Green, affordable and silent, these vehicles produce zero carbon emissions and offer a more earth-friendly mode of transport.

Liew Chung Peng, Managing Director of Eclimo Sdn Bhd who is experienced in electric vehicle powertrain and high density energy battery will conduct a workshop during the sustainability conference to provide an industry overview of electric vehicles and discuss effective marketing and promotional strategies.

Visitors to the Eco Terengganu Conference 2011 and the Monsoon Cup Race Village will have the opportunity to view Eclimo’s e-scooter and e-motorcycles during a special showcase organised exclusively for the event.

Dato’ Dennis Chuah, Executive Director of Eclimo Sdn Bhd said, 'We look forward to playing our part in promoting a more carbon-friendly Malaysia through the inaugural Eco Terengganu Conference 2011. Our informative workshop is aimed at educating the delegates and dispelling the myths about sustainable vehicle options.

Dwindling resources and an urgent need to protect what’s left of our fragile earth inspired us to focus our research on alternative eco-friendly sources to power motors and engines. A superior green power technology is the way of the future.'

Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (CMM) is a leading supporter of environmental conservation efforts through its Canon Goes Green campaign. As a result, CMM chooses to use paper bags made from recycled paper to replace plastic bags. Also for Eco Terengganu, CMM is donating non-woven bags to encourage people to reuse the bags for multiple usage in the future.
