More competitors in the La Charente Maritime Bahia Transat 6.50 are crossing the finish line and we share with you today, updates on the fight for the final places in Funchal.

Gwénolé Gahinet (455 - Asso Watever - gwenolegahinet.com) had arrived three hours and ten minutes after Benoit Mariette (599 - Odalys Vacances) in Funchal.

If Benoit does not cross the line before 20h45 UTC, Gwénolé will be the Charente-Maritime/Bahia-Transat 6.50 2011 winner for the Serie classe. The fight for the second place is fierce as well with Pierre Brasseur (522 - Voile Océan), sixth in Funchal, that hours and 54 minutes behind Mariette. At the moment, he is ahead of Benoit Mariette by 50 miles in a terrific finish, under strong showers, on the wind and with a very rough sea...
