Tahiti holiday up for grabs at Sydney’s Sail Expo
by Kirsten Furniss on 27 Feb 2003
Every visitor at Sydney’s Sail Expo, on from Friday March 7 to Sunday March 9 at the Super Yacht Marina at Rozelle Bay, has the chance to win a fantastic sailing holiday for two in Tahiti!
The prize is sensational. Valued at $9000, two people will take part in the Annual Tahiti Nui Cup yachting regatta, with nine days cruising the crystal clear turquoise waters around the beautiful islands of Raiatea, Huahine, Tahaa and Bora Bora on a luxury yacht.
It’s not all racing, with plenty of opportunities to explore. Spend a day lazing by or snorkelling in the lagoon on Huahine. Visit a pearl farm or have a long lunch at one of the restaurants on Tahaa, or discover paradise on Bora Bora where you can swim with manta rays, explore coral gardens or just relax in these idyllic surroundings.
The first and last days are spent at hotels in Papeete, where you can shop for exquisite black pearls.
To enter, all visitors to Sail Expo have to do is drop into the Mariner Boating stand and write in 50 words or less why they want to win. It’s that easy.
Sail Expo is the perfect opportunity for Sydneysiders to find out more about sailing, with over 50 boats of all sizes on display, the chance for adults and children to try sailing for free, fabulous food stalls provided by Liquidity, plus face painting and a jumping castle for kids.
Discover the joys of sailing at the Sydney Sail Expo 2003, on from Friday March 7 to Sunday March 9 at the Super Yacht Marina, near the Anzac Bridge at Rozelle Bay.
It’s open 10 – 5, with tickets $12 for adults, $8 concession and $30 for a family ticket (two adults, three children). There will be plenty of free parking on site or catch the ferry from the Convention Centre steps at Darling Harbour. Tickets are $5 each way, departing on the hour between 11 and 3.
