Sydney has a new sail loft. Chapman High Performance Sailing CHPS has officially opened its first loft in Sydney with a function last Friday night for family, friends and customers.

Well known in high performance dinghy circles, Andrew Chapman is currently steering 18’ Skiff Fisher & Paykel having competed previously in 49ers, 29ers, 12’ Skiffs, Sabots and was National Champion in both the Flying 11 and Cherub classes. Andrew completed his apprenticeship with McDiamrid Sails.

Since commencing business earlier this year, CHPS has concentrated on the high performance dinghy classes but yacht sail orders are now also flooding in.

As an accredited YA coach, Andrew is taking a holisitic approach to the business and offers rigging and coaching services to complement his sail making. On water setup is offered with every set of sails. Andrew believes many customers want the whole package - a set of sails with a collaborative approach to rigging and setting up the boat to suit the crew and then developing their skills to get the most out of their boat.

The CHPS loft is centrally located at 3b Waltham St Artarmon with plenty of off street parking.
