Zapcat Grand Prix in Spain - Who is up for it?

by Zapcat Racing on 5 Sep 2011
Zapcat - up up and away? SW
As many of you know, in particular those who met Barry and Lesley Jones at the Barry Island Zapcat GP, we have a new Zapcat Franchise in Spain.

In order to kick things off Zapcat UK and Zapcat ES will together be running some races in Spain over the winter months.

At this stage we really need to know who is up for it from the UK, to either go for a road trip or to put their boats on a transport and show the fledgling Spanish teams what Zapcat Racing is all about.

Apart from a date of the 29th and 30th of October and to be held at a great beach venue in Alicante we have very few other details at this stage.

As with other events in the past we have been able to transport up to a dozen boats inflated on a 40 ft lorry, we would look to do something similar and are hopeful that we can get the cost covered by local Spanish sponsors.
We will of course bring our own Event / Safety Team to show the local guys how it's done, direct flights are available from most UK airports for those seeking some fun in the winter sun.

The average high for that time of year is around 24C and water temp 21C so pack your wetsuits, board shorts and bikinis!

Please let us know if you are interested in participating in the what will be the first European Zapcat event, as a competitor with your boat, safety team member or just want to help out on the beach and have a fantastic weekend Zapcat website
