Carla Demaria joins Beneteau Board

The president of Monte Carlo Yachts, Carla Demaria, has joined the board of French boatbuilder Groupe Beneteau.
The decision of Beneteau’s supervisory board was announced on August 31. She will begin her responsibilities as director of the Beneteau brand in November at the same time as continuing with her role at Monte Carlo Yachts.
Demaria joined the group in 2008 to develop Beneteau’s large motoryacht offering under the Monte Carlo Yachts brand.
The first Monte Carlo Yachts model was presented in July 2010. The second, the MCY 65, will be unveiled at the Cannes yacht show this week.
Ms Demaria was the special guest at the 2011 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show on Queensland's Gold Coast, speaking to media at at several industry events during the boat show.
Beneteau has recently acquired an industrial site in Monfalcone, Italy for the production of large motoryachts.
Beneteau is the world’s biggest producer of sailing boats and is currently developing its motorboat business.
