On the final day of racing for the Verve Cup 2011 the weather cooperated as did the sailors, with a clean slate on the protest board. 2011 will be hard to beat but we look forward to seeing everyone next year at Verve 2012!

Circle A: Two races were completed on Circle A in six - nine knot wind conditions. Race 1 was postponed briefly due to a wind shift from NW to N but racing resumed at 1010. The wind proceeded to back over the course of the race, necessitating a course change at the leeward end. In race 2, the RC post 340 as the heading to Mark 1, the wind slowly veered right causing another change at the leeward end to 010. The final run of the regatta saw multiple gybes and a tight finish to end the days of challenging conditions and hard racing.

Circle B: The wind speed stayed stead at eight plus knots for both races. We began our day with NW winds at 340 degrees, as the day progressed the wind clocked around to NNE. The RC had a number of course changed based on the wind shifts the final race of the day (Race 6) we spiced it up with a five-leg (Vs4) course giving the competitors an upwind finish and a chance to end the day closer to Monroe. As we headed to shore we were entertained by the acrobatic portion of the Air & Water Show, sailing under full sun and half moon - what a beautiful day to be on the water.

Circle C: Circle C had a gorgeous day of racing. To make up for all of the practice starts (with no finishes on Saturday), Circle C managed to pull off three perfect races. The wind was strong in the morning for the first and second race, shifting persistently to the right all day. We started on the course at 330 degrees and ended the last race at 035 degrees.
