AIMEX is proud to announce that Britton Marine Australia has been awarded ‘Best Marine Industry Export Performance (Medium Exporter) in this year’s Australian Marine Industry Export Awards.

The 2011 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export Awards were announced recently at the annual Club Marine and Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) networking function in Sydney during Sydney International Boat Show.

Britton Marine, established in 1987, designs, manufactures and maintains military, law enforcement and commercial craft and specialized marine equipment. Britton Marine has successfully established itself as a major supplier of rigid inflatable craft for the Australian and other Navies. Their export business includes the UAE, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and New Zealand.

Britton Marine’s business while growing in export is also significant on home soil, more recently Britton Marine has won the tender to provide new vessels for Australian Customs and NSW Marine Rescue, they also provide maintenance and support to the Australian Federal Police in the Solomon and Christmas Islands and Malaysia and maintain all NSW water police vessels and supply and support SES in 5 states and territories of Australia – Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, ACT and South Australia.

Britton Marine has been recognised in many award schemes including winning a high commendation award in the 2010 Australian Marine Export Awards Innovation category and finalists in the 2008 Telstra Business Awards and finalists in 2009 Australian Export Awards.

Thank you, Huey… Some sun, and a tad of wind means it is time to go racing... Ahead of the annual Beneteau Pittwater Regatta by Flagstaff Marine the weather had not been all that grand. So, peaks of sun migrating to distinct patches, and the occasional zephyr turning into a waft, then on to a calm breeze was fortunate.
