Snipe Class World Championship day 2

by Anders Kristensen on 12 Aug 2011
Snipe Junior Worlds SW
The Snipe Class World Championships fleet enjoyed a great day of rainy sailing in which three races took place leaving Mario Urban and Rafael Sapucaia from Brasil on the top of the leaderboard.

The first day of racing at the Snipeworlds in Rungsted was windy at forced the race committee to postpone sailing to late afternoon with only one race being done.

Today the wind condition was perfect with a shifting onshore breeze with ten to twelve knots. Unfortunately in rained all day, so it was some cold sailors getting back to shore. The top fleet is dominated by Brazil and Spain holding the top six, lead by the Brazilian crew Mario Urban and Rafael Sapucaia who so far has been the most stable in the tricky conditions.

There will be racing until Saturday where a new world champion can be crowned.
