Pick the windshifts with new Polarised sunglasses

In a sport where reading the conditions is key, Australia's top sailors are discovering a new polarisation technology - and it's creating a strong advantage.

Yesterday's win by Chris Nicholson in the Australian 49er Championship at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club and recent wins by Iain Murray in the Pittwater to Coffs on Wild Oats and Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page in the 470 Gold for Gold Series share one common element - utilising a new polarised sunglass technology from Kaenon Polarized™ sunglasses.

After yesterday's win, Chris Nicholson said, 'In the light, shifty conditions off Geelong, the optics of Kaenon Polarized made it possible to spot most wind shifts and that was key to our win.'

So, what is polarization, and what's new about it? Polarisation is the only proven technology that effectively eliminates glare. All polarised lenses work by containing a polarised film in which molecules run in parallel, horizontal lines.

The film acts as a filter to block out glare because glare vibrates horizontally in the atmosphere. High quality polarised optics remove irritating glare, allowing eyes to relax and gain greater depth perception, enhanced contrast and reduced eyestrain.

But, not all polarised sunglasses are equal.
