RHKYC - The Changing of the Guard

Cocktails tonight to bid 'farewell' to Ray Parry, General Manager at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. Ray has been in office for 4 1/2 years, and is now moving on to pastures new - Raffles Marina, Singapore.

New incumbent to the post is Mark Bovaird, formerly CEO of the Roehampton Club, previously General Manager at the RAC Golf & Country Club, Epsom, and before that Deputy Asst to the Master of the Household at Buckingham Palace.

'In a way I suppose I have swapped one Royal family for another,' said Bovaird. 'But as far as I know it 's still 'No Corgis' in the Main Bar.'

Members of the RHKYC, sailors, and members of the media wish Mr Bovaird 'welcome' to Hong Kong, and 'good fortune' to Mr Parry in Singapore.
