Ocean Racing Club of Victoria's (ORCV) Melbourne to Apollo Bay (M2AB) got underway today and intrepid Geelong based photographer Teri Dodds braved the weather to snap the action on a freezing day. With heavy weathert making the exit from the startline out into Bass Strait very dangerous, so instead of racing to Apollo Bay, the fleet is racing within the confines of Port Phillip, now called the 2011 Port Phillip Bay Race.
eXtasea won the start from Spirit of Downunder with Magic third.
