Transas iSailor is a brand-new, free navigation application for iPhones and iPads. Intended for use on small craft and yachts, iSailor has been specifically designed for those who want good electronic assistance in their sea adventures.

Transas iSailor, available in versions for both the iPhone and iPad, brings an award winning navigational system wherever you go. Using the built-in GPS functionality of the device to seamlessly display the current position and navigational information on the acclaimed Transas TX-97 electronic charts brings the user to a new level of handheld marine navigation.

iSailor is fast, smart and offers substantial benefits to the mariner, regardless of expertise level. Apart from traditional functionality such as visualization of routes and tracks, monitoring of waypoints and navigational data, it enables free charts orientation (North up and Head up modes available as well), day and night chart palettes and more. Not only is it powerful, it’s just a lot of fun!

The application is free and available for download via iTunes. Chart folios for particular regions can be purchased via the application, paying only for the charts you need. Current chart collections include the United States, Hawaiian Islands, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and are currently being expanded for worldwide coverage. New chart folios will follow shortly.
