Fishing writers needed – now - freelance opportunity

by Rob Kothe, Publisher, TetraMedia on 1 May 2011
SW
A ground floor opportunity, for specialist fishing writers in the Asia Pacific, who want to increase their profile into today’s media.

The largest online marine publication in the world, with a monthly readership of 220,000 is launching its first venture into the sport of fishing.

[Sorry, this content could not be displayed]

TetraMedia publishes Sail-World.com, Powerboat-World.com and MarineBusiness-World.com.

Its overall audience in 2010 exceeded two million readers.

It is the oldest and largest online marine network, operating 24x7 with a whole range of online publishing technology that puts it in a class of its own above its rivals, with the ability to deliver video, audio, images and text in news, interviews and feature formats.

By the end of 2011, the TetraMedia Marine Group will encompass a total of 22 sites world-wide.

TetraMedia has by far the largest group of Marine journalists and photographers of any one media group worldwide. Many of our editor and contributors have moved online from marine magazine roles, many of them have written books and write for major international mainstream publications.

TetraMedia in its fishing publications will be seeking to cover all kinds of sports fishing from beach fishing, fly fishing, kayak fishing to offshore fishing, from barramundi to tuna. Because it does not have the restrictions of space, it can cover all kinds of interesting niches.

It needs articles of between 400-800 words in length with images/audio/video as available. We do run features that can be up to 3000 words in length, in multipart series.

We expect many of our contributors will be authors and film makers, charter or safari operators and we will be keen to see their projects promoted.

If you have a strong body of published fishing articles and you'd like to be a fishing contributor or specific area of interest field editor, please send us your resume, your rates and your availability via email media@tetra-media.com and we will come back to you.

Separate to that we will welcome local fishing condition reports from tackle shops, charter operations etc, in both Australia, New Zealand and across the Asia-Pacific.

Your regular fishing reports can be attention getters. We have an easy upload system, which can tags your reports with your advertising banner and hyperlink. If you’d like to promote your fishing related business and can provide regular reports, please advise us by email via media@tetra-media.com
