For many people, fishing is one of life’s great joys.
Whether it be offshore deep sea fishing, up a river or on a lake, just being out on the water with a rod or line in hand vying for the catch of the day, is a perfect way to spend time with mates, family or simply on your own.
And when you’re angling for that elusive big one, technology can certainly help, so Sydney City Marine Electrical has teamed up with Furuno to present an informative and entertaining night on Wednesday 6th April from 6:30 to 9:30pm.
One of the highlights of the night will be special guest– fishing guru – Al McGlashan.
Recognised as Australia’s biggest fishing profile, Al has been fishing all of his life – for everything from thousand pound black marlin at the Great Barrier Reef to black bass in the jungles of Papua New Guinea - and his love for fishing steered him into a career as a photojournalist and presenter.
One of the industry’s leading photographers and fishing experts, and the biggest Australian exporter of fishing images and articles, Al spends more than 200 days a year on the water and has an infectious enthusiasm for the great outdoors.
He’ll be teaming up with Furuno’s Mark ‘Chopper’ Reid, with Mark presenting a hands on demonstration of a range of the latest Furuno gear, as well as sharing plenty of general fishing tips and stories.
If there’s something you’ve had your eye on to make your fishing days more successful or more fun, Wednesday 6th April is the time to get it with attractive discounts offered on the Furuno gear if you order it on the night.
There will be light finger food and drinks and lots of giveaways. Bookings are essential – so secure your spot today – email sales@sydneycitymarine.com.au or call them to confirm your spot on 02 8572 7800.
The evening will kick off with an insiders tour of the Sydney City Marine facility, located under the Anzac Bridge on James Craig Road in Rozelle.
And just like Al says ‘that you don’t have to have a big boat to catch big fish’ – you don’t have to have a big boat or a big budget to have your boat maintenance needs taken care by the friendly team of professionals at Sydney City Marine.
