RS Tera UK National Championship new sponsor

The RS Tera Class is delighted to announce that insurance4dinghies, part of the Towergate Mardon group, have agreed to be title sponsor for the 2011 RS Tera UK National Championship.

The 2011 Championship will be hosted by Hayling Island Sailing Club on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2011.

Ian Jameson Class Sponsorship Coordinator comments: 'insurance4dinghies already offer reduced rate insurance for RS Tera owners in the UK, and this sponsorship offer will allow us to keep the Class affordable and fun, with part of the funding going towards the Nationals and remainder to the four regions to subsidise additional training and coaching activity from grass roots level up.'

The RS Tera Class has seen accelerated growth in popularity over the last four years and is proving to be a winner with young people around the world. The class has an emphasis on fun, combined with competitive sailing at an affordable cost, so it really is ability and attitude rather than money that is delivering results.

The Class has seen their National Championship entries rise quickly from 28 in 2008 to 72 in 2010. This year could be the year when the Class joins the few that can attract 100 boats or more.

If you own a Tera and would like to take up the reduced rate insurance opportunity go to RS Tera website
