Koru Match won the Musto Wellington Match Race Cup sailed over the weekend

Koru Match came out on top, after four round robins, in a range of weather conditions.

The team then matched up against Team Osborne (Samantha Osborne, Claudia Pierce and Taylor Holland) in the semi finals and won, 3-0.

In the finals, Koru Match beat Bowater Racing (Danielle Bowater, Bianca Cook and Katie de Lange) 2-0.

Over the last four days the team have won 19 of 20 races.

The team is pleased with their performance. Next week the Yachting New Zealand Olympic Match Race Selection Panel will meet to rank the NZ teams which will determine funding and event entry.

The team look to carry their momentum to the NZ Women's Match Racing Nationals to be held at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron later in this week.

A huge thank you to Ben Dorrington and Steve Pyatt for their support in Wellington this week.
The team also appreciates the time that many people have given to train against us in their build up to this event.

Regards,

Stephanie Hazard (Helm), Susannah Pyatt (Bow) & Jenna Hansen (Trim)
