Northshore Yachts have never been busier; the new popular 369’s have been popping out of the factory doors at a rate of one a month for the last six months.
With the first six 369’s now on the water and sailing and the next hull available being number 12 the new club racer class is making its presence known. Northshore’s production facility at the central coast has been increased to over 4000 sqm which includes modern features such as overhead gantry cranes, specialized painting booths etc. Staff numbers have also been increased handle the new work load; total staff numbers are now at 50.
The latest Northshore 369 launched last week was for CYCA member Kai Jacobsen.
Kai’s previous boat was a Swan 51 named “Tall Cotton”. His new 369 is named “EIS”; both Kai and his son thomas have had a lot of input into small changes to the interior styling of their new 369. There is a nice blend of black mouldings, Mahogany cabin sole, stainless steel fittings and beautiful leather upholstery.
Ed Psaltis and Bob Thomas’s new Northshore 369 “AFR Midnight Rambler” will be lining up on Boxing Day for the Sydney to Hobart while Ken Murphy and Gary Riley will been competing in the Pittwater to Coff’s Harbour race series sailing “Avanti”.
Early in 2003 MHYC will be running their fun Chaos Cup race where the Northshore 369’s will be racing as a class in their own division.
Currently Northshore 369’s are racing at RPAYC, RSYS, MHYC and the CYCA.
