Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show - Riviera's latest designs set to shine

by Stephen Milne on 28 Jan 2011
This year Riviera will showcase six of its latest designs at the Miami Boat Show Stephen Milne
The latest designs from Riviera’s award winning and growing range are set to excite boating enthusiasts at the 23rd annual Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show in February, 2011.

Australia’s most awarded pleasure boat builder will exhibit seven boats at its Collins Avenue display including from the Flybridge range, the new 43 Open Flybridge with IPS, the 45 and 47; from the Sport Yacht range, the 4400, new 5000 with Zeus and new 5800 with IPS and the 43 Offshore Express with IPS.

As one of the world’s largest and most prestigious boating events, the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show spans 1.2 million square feet in the heart of Miami Beach from February 17-21.

Director of Riviera Yachts Chris McCafferty said Riviera had held a strong presence at the Miami Boat Show for the past 11 years.

'The Riviera display, located on Ramp 34 on Collins Avenue is a prime spot to accommodate the seven boats that will be showcased this year,' Mr McCafferty said.

'The 5800 and 5000 Sport Yachts have been extremely well received with sales of 16 and 27 boats respectively since their recent launches with several models now in the Americas.

'The Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show is regarded as one of the leading boat shows in the world and Riviera looks forward to showcasing our impressive new range.'

Riviera CEO John Anderson said new boat sales had increased positively over the past 12 months, with Riviera selling a total of 116 boats world-wide in the 2010 calendar year.

'The Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show in partnership with the Miami International Boat Show has always been one of the largest and most successful boat shows we attend and Riviera anticipates continued success at the 2011 show. We will have our professional team on hand to discuss our next series of innovative models bound for the United States in 2011,' Mr Anderson said.

'Riviera will launch two new models this year featuring the latest in design and technology, the 53 Enclosed Flybridge and the 61 Series II Flybridge.'

Designed from the keel up the 53 Enclosed Flybridge is a new generation of luxury, technology and personal customisation. The result is a fresh approach, signalling a new generation of Riviera prowess and efficiency. The new 53 is the first Riviera Flybridge in the 50 foot range to offer a full-beam master stateroom, with king-size bed and large ensuite. It is also the first Riviera in this size bracket to offer an enclosed flybridge with spacious seating for a party of 10. The 53 is also the first Riviera to offer the flexibility of choice with a range of different pod drive and engine plant configurations. This new model has been entirely designed around these proven and efficient drives.

The new 61 Series II Flybridge with a raft of ground breaking engineering and design enhancements is a luxurious and highly capable offshore vessel. The 61 Series II has taken many popular design cues from the fleet’s prestigious flagship, the Riviera 70. The flybridge serves as a luxurious sky lounge while the galley, saloon and cockpit serve as a large open entertaining area separated by a hinged awning window and large glass door. Equipped with the latest digital switching for all DC electrical components using the proven C-Zone CAN bus system creates fingertip control of all electronic functions.

Riviera’s latest models have been developed in-house using the latest state-of-the-art technology to create a revolutionary new flybridge range.

Riviera offers 20 different models from 36 to 85 feet across four model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express and Motor Yachts.
