ACT Chief Ministers Regatta - Australia Day - Free Entry!

by Nicole Douglass on 21 Jan 2011
All the family can enjoy sailing in Canberra - ACT Chief Ministers Regatta Canberra Yacht Club Media
The ACT Chief Minister's Regatta will be held on Australia Day on Lake Burley Griffin from the Canberra Yacht Club (CYC).

Entry is free to all boats, with the gun set to fire at 2pm. The NOR is available from www.canberrayachtclub.com.au.

Round 12 of the CYC Twilight races (just in case you didn't get enough sailing in) will be held at 6pm following the ACT Chief Ministers Regatta.

As well as the sailing, the Canberra Southern Cross Club have organised bush bands, a jumping castle and face painting for the kids on the greens of the Yacht Club. There will be a fireworks display in the evening, so bring the whole family and make a day of it!

The Canberra Yacht Club is made up of a great group of people who all love their sailing, and the community that the Yacht Club provides. All are continually lending a hand. Special thanks to all the club members who over the past week at the CYC Boat Shop Club Championship and the Homebrokers Insurance Twilight Race on Wednesday have managed to raise over $1200 for the Queensland Flood Relief Appeal.

For more information on the Canberra Yacht Club, including upcoming events, results and the sailing school go to www.canberrayachtclub.com.au or email admin(at)canberrasailingclub.com.au.
